Roberto Boltri
Environmental expert, international UN volunteer, Italy
From 1972 to 1996 he lived in the Marche region and worked as an environmental technician. During these years, he often traveled to African and Asian countries (Somalia, Algeria, Libya, Uzbekistan) to work on environmental projects. He was co-author of the first ecological dictionary published in Italy. IN
In 1996 he left Italy to devote himself as an environmentalist to international volunteering, working for the UN, the European Union and the OSCE, UNOPS, W.HO. in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Somalia, Somaliland and Yemen. For three years he was a UNDP volunteer. Now he is a UNV veteran in Kazakhstan.
His main field of activity is water resources management, work in villages affected by drought. He has also worked in the field of water-related conflict prevention.
